Diane Hillard-Sembell, MD, to Receive National Award

Diane Hillard-Sembell, MD, specialist with the Orthopedic Group at Springfield Clinic, has been chosen as a 2013 recipient of the Honorary Membership Award by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Honorary membership in NATA is awarded to individuals who have shown profound interest in and have made significant contributions to the profession of athletic training, displaying a dedication to advancing, promoting and championing the efforts of our association and its members.

IDOT Health Fair

Mark your calendar and be sure to visit our booth at the 13th Annual Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Health Fair being held Thursday, June 6 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Harry R. Hanley Building, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway in Springfield. The Orthopedic Group at Springfield Clinic will be offering information on musculoskeletal conditions, treatments and related issues.

Jacksonville's New Medical Office Building Nears Completion

The new 70,700-square-foot medical office building on the Passavant Campus is on target to be open to the public on June 3.

A community open house is planned for Saturday, May 18, from 1:00-3:00pm. The two-story building, located at 15 Founders Lane and which connects to Passavant by an indoor walkway, will be the home to both Memorial Physician Services — Jacksonville and Springfield Clinic, combining their respective Jacksonville offices — and more than 50 doctors and mid-level providers—into one convenient location.

Several of Springfield Clinic’s Jacksonville offices and services will be consolidated into this location, including the area’s orthopedic and general surgery specialists, as well as the primary care providers presently practicing at Springfield Clinic Jacksonville Family Health Care.

Girls on the Run® of Central Illinois

The Orthopedic Group at Springfield Clinic is a 2013 sponsor of Girls on the Run® of Central Illinois. This after school program educates and empowers pre-teen girls (3rd–8th grade) with the tools to make healthy decisions, form positive self-images and develop healthy lifestyles. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event.
